Fiberglass insulation is known for being resistant to fungus and mold growth. Batts are precut, compared to Blown-in Fiberglass which can be densely packed in walls, ceilings, or floors or applied as loose fill insulation in open attic floors.
Spray foam expands up to 60 times its liquid volume after it is sprayed in place. This expansion makes it useful as an insulation material which forms to the shape of the space its being applied and produces a high thermal insulating value with virtually no air infiltration.
